God Spoke To Me Through Shapes

To be more precise, the heart shape. Lol!

Bible page of the First Epistle of John 4:10, with red heart layed over the text. Christian Valentine’s Day background. Red ribbon in shape of heart.

Cliché? Or not?

I know that sounds weird, but, actually, I think He really did.

I remember a time in my life, when I had just come to the saving knowledge of God’s grace, that I began to sense Him speaking to me.

The thing is, I expected Him to speak. Even though I still believed hearing God’s voice was a highly mystical thing that we ordinary people could only experience every now and then by some very special favor. And that only the “Men of God” had direct and continuous access.

But even in my erroneous thinking (though somewhat adequate for my level of spiritual understanding), I still expected to hear His voice.

The “coincidences” happening around me couldn’t be the product of my own imagination. I “knew” they had to be the product of this newly found God trying to reach out to me.

And He did..

…in hearts…

Yes, in heart…shapes!

Let me explain.

If water spilled on the floor, by some phenomenon, it would form a perfect heart shape.

If there was a stain on the wall, by the same phenomenon, it would somehow form another heart shape.

I seemed to be the only one noticing this.

And this happened a lot!

Wait! Wait! Don’t come for me.

You say the product of my imagination? You can’t convince me of that!

Every time that happened, I “heard” him say loudly “I love You”. Not through my ears. Just to my heart. It was a heart-to-heart communication.

In my ignorance of the more acceptable and common ways through which God speaks, God chose to invite me into intimacy with Him through something simple and direct and unique to my relationship with Him.

Hearing God isn’t some complex, mystical, only-for-some-people kind of experience. It’s simply two hearts talking.

Dr Daniela

Yes! Because every relationship with God is unique. There’s a way lovers communicate that only they understand. And they might still use the “standard” means of communication like words, but…there’s still always something…unique…something other people wouldn’t get!

Hope you get the point. This is becoming hard to explain.

Gradually, as I became more accustomed to The Word of God and The Impressions for the Spirit (if you’d like for us to take a deeper dive into these more general means of communication between heaven and earth, let me know), I started experiencing these “heart visions” less frequently.

But what never changed was the heart-to-heart communication. Because at the end of the day, that’s how God speaks, isn’t it?

It’s as simple as that. Heart to Heart.

Hearing God isn’t some complex, mystical, only-for-some-people kind of experience. It’s simply two hearts talking.

If you hear God in audible decibels, good for you. I can’t say for sure if I ever will.

I simply look out for the visions of His heart all around me.

Sometimes those visions need me to be more quiet. Sometimes, they break through even my loudest

chaos.

Sometimes they just say “I love you”. Other times, they are as specific as can be.

Hearing God isn’t as complex as some have made it out to be. It’s simply listening and believing!

PS. Let me not get started on how, now, God gives me specific instructions via songs.
